FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Father Doyle Families,
As we enter Holy Week this Sunday, our students have been preparing in a myriad of ways including almsgiving through our Lenten Food Drive, participating in weekly Stations of the Cross, attending confession, and listening to daily reflections from Fr. Woolley at prayer service each morning. May God bless you and your family during this special time in the Church's year.
While this weekend will mark the start of Holy Week, it also marks the conclusion of our 2022 Reading Week. Thank you, all, for a wonderful Reading Week! Be sure to check out some pictures from the week below. We had a great time celebrating that "reading give us superpowers!" From Drop Everything and Read Time to literary bingo, dress like your favorite character day, and special presentations - it was certainly a memorable week! A special thank you to all of our Reading Week committee members for their hard work!
In addition to these wonderful events, we've also been hard at work with facilities upgrades in the past week. Our learning center (the former "resource room") is nearing completion, and we're excited to unveil this new space in the coming weeks. Furthermore, we placed the order for our brand new classroom furniture in Mrs. Sheldon and Mr. Godin's rooms! This is all thanks to your support of our Walk-a-thon and Annual Auction. We could not be more grateful!
We're also excited to share a new program for ordering school uniforms for the 2022-2023 school year. In order to address challenges with ordering this past year, we are moving to a bulk ordering system with Donnelly’s for the 2022-2023 school year. Through this new process, families will be able to order and pick-up their uniforms directly through the school, rather than going through a Donnelly's location. This will hopefully expedite the process and alleviate some of the challenges of this past year. More information to come when we return from April break!
I'm also pleased to share with you the 2022-2023 Academic Calendar. You can view the full calendar here, as well as an overview with additional details here. These documents are also attached below. Please note that more information will be provided to families regarding back to school events as they approach.
Interested in learning more about Mrs. Coutu and our resource programs? Join us for a special Breakfast with the Principal, this upcoming Wednesday, April 13th. All parents are welcome to attend! RSVP is required, please register here. Thank you!
Lastly, I would like to congratulate our middle school scholars who achieved honor roll status for the 2nd Trimester. The Honor Roll can be found attached below. A job well done to each of these students!
Thank you for reading! Enjoy the weekend.
God bless, and Go Saints!
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin

Reduce Waste and Help our School!
Do you have used ink cartridges at home? Father Doyle School is partnering with Planet Green Recycling to recycle use ink cartridges. The best part? It's entirely hassle free - all you have to do is drop your ink used ink cartridges off in the main office. We'll package and ship them to Planet Green, who ensures cartridges are properly recycled. Ultimately, the program helps save the environment and supports the school! Find out more here.

This program is a great way to reduce the cost of your tuition while supporting FJVDl!
The Process:

- The school earns a percentage discount offered by participating stores.

Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
Thank you!
