SHS Parent and Guardian Update
Good afternoon! I hope each of you and your families are well. Another short update this week. As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns do not hesitate to reach out to me. All the best. Sean
End of the Year Dates:
The last full day of classes for the high school (grades 9-12) will be Thursday, June 13, 2024. After this date, students will report to the high school for regents’ exams only with the last exam being given on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. A regents’ exam calendar will be sent home in the near future.
East Parking Lot:
Starting on May 1, the East Parking Lot (staff parking lot) will be closed for construction. Parents will still be able to drop off and pick up in the front loop. In addition, students can be dropped off (after 7:05) and picked up (after 2:25) at the Ranger Entrance.
Exchange Student Opportunity:
The Spencerport Rotary Club is looking for homes for an exchange student for the 2024-2025 school year. The high school exchange student will arrive sometime in August 2024 and spend 4 months with each host family.
This opportunity to welcome a student from another country into your home can be a rewarding endeavor for you and your whole family. It is a great opportunity to learn more about another country's culture while sharing our culture with the student.
We welcome all types of families - families with or without a current student in the home, grandparents, single parents, individuals, etc.
Our club is involved every step of the way, to answer questions and guide both the student and the host family.
If interested in more information or if you have questions, please contact Colleen Farley at colleenmfarley@gmail.com for details.
