Fall 2023, Volume 1
FROM AHS...YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE!!
Off and Running into Your Senior Year!!
We are over a month into the school year and closing in on the end of the first six weeks - hold on tight! This year will be full of exciting events to mark your last year of high school. It will also be a very busy year as you take steps to prepare for your future whether it be through the avenue of two or four year college, trade school, military or workforce. For the college and trade school path, this fall is the time to complete college applications and essays, continue ACT or SAT testing if needed, and apply for scholarships. The FAFSA has been revamped and will be opening sometime in December so more info on that will be coming. The ASVAB will be offered on campus in November for students interested in the military or if you are still trying to decide that perfect career path. We have met with seniors in English classes to review general post-secondary information and processes and will be meeting individually with seniors throughout the fall to provide more specific guidance for your particular plan. I'm so excited for each of you. Please let me know however I can help you throughout the year.
