Your class has all these iPads, what can you do with them?

The application Nearpod offers a way for students to fully participate in lessons using a computer, ipad, or even their smart phone. Join me for a look at Nearpod and you will leave with the ability to

  • create an account
  • Sit on the other side of the desk, be the learner
  • create still frame pages
  • incorporate video
  • imbed questions
  • create quizes
  • include Draw-It activities

This Professional Development Workshop will be hands on. You will have the opportunity to Network with other educators to develop interactive lesson using Nearpod. You will also learn how to share you Future Near-pod presentations

Laptop computers will be available. Participants may wish to bring curriculum materials to assist in creation of Lessons.

I have been a special educator since 2004. I have taught in Blue Ribbon Schools in Rye City, NY as well as Pearl RIver, NY. I have been a Special Education Teacher in New York City's District 75, P721X where I have taught as a homeroom teacher in a 6:1:1 classroom as well as a computer lab teacher for the last two years. I am currently preparing to become a certified Instructional Technology Coach at NYIT.

1. use a traditional pen/paper lesson

  5. Create a quiz with multiple choice questions, open ended and true and false questions
