Cullman City Primary School

June Update

A Message from Mrs. Shaddix

Dear Cullman City Primary School Families,

The start of school is just around the corner. Please refer to the information in this newsletter regarding important events and need-to-know information.

Our incredible staff of educators has been in school throughout June to prepare classrooms for the new school year. We are grateful to our amazing custodial staff as they continue to work to prepare classrooms for the upcoming year. Our secretarial staff, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Outzen, and Mrs. Bates are working hard to ensure a smooth start for staff, students, and families.

Cullman City Primary School is a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our beautiful school and have high expectations for each student. Together, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. Our CCPS motto is “Best You, Best Me, Best We.” This motto will continue to guide our mission to provide a rigorous and joyful inclusive school environment. Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning while building a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy.

Partnering with families is crucial to promote a healthy transition to school both socially and emotionally. We recognize that students may feel anxious with the start of a new school year. We will continue to place a strong emphasis on social-emotional learning while focusing on building classroom community. We encourage families to stay connected and informed by following our social media pages.

We look forward to seeing our students at “Popsicles with the Principal” on July 17 at 2:00 p.m. It is our hope that each of you continues to have a wonderful summer.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Johnston Shaddix
