On Saturday 9/24/22, Spirit Day here at EHTHS, the Boys soccer team hosted the Indians of Lenape, a Group IV powerhouse. The Eagles awoke early in the first half and never looked back. Senior Captain Nathan Biersbach scored the first goal from Gilmer Mendoza’s assist. The Eagles lit up the scoreboard three more times in the second half to secure the critical win. Gilmer Mendoza scored off an assist from Matty Sanchez. Joey Martin’s third goal of the game was a beautiful right-footed volley into the back of the net. On 9/26/22 our Eagles hosted Division Rival, Hammonton, in a rematch of last year’s Conference Final game. The Eagles were down 1 nil at half and had some spark in the second half when Nathan Biersbach scored on a PK. Unfortunately, Hammonton struck again and won 3-1. The Eagles are confident they will avenge this loss on the road in October. Senior Goalie Brett Barnes made 5 saves in the loss.
