Edmond North Counseling Corner
Huskies-We are here for you.
Dear Parents and Students,
Your Counselors miss you and share frustrations with you over the abrupt end to our time in the building together. We hope all of you are staying home and healthy during this time.
As your Counselors, one of our main concerns is to help you graduate! We encourage those of you who are currently failing a class to reach out to your teachers. Turn in late work and see what you can do to get your grades up. If you need any help with this, please let us know. We are here to help you in any way possible.
Check back to this newsletter often as it will be updated as information comes in!

Steps for students enrolling in Summer or Fall Concurrent Enrollment
1. Apply and be accepted to the University.
2. Go to the preferred concurrent institution and complete the Concurrent Recommendation Form with your signature, parent signatures and classes that you will take at North for the Summer/Fall semester 2020.
3. Complete the ENHS Concurrent Enrollment Agreement. This form requires your initials, parent initials, signature and parent signature.
4. Once this is completed please scan or take a picture of all completed forms and email this to your North Counselor.
5. In the body of the email please include the classes you would like to take for concurrent enrollment. See Edmond's Board Policy for concurrent (pages 5,6,7).
6. Once this is all submitted your Counselor will review and send you the information for you to forward to your University. You will send the email yourself directly to your college connection. Below are the emails you may use to send your information directly.
UCO Jeremy Corley jcorley@uco.edu
OSU (Stillwater) Brett Rowe Brett.Rowh@okstate.edu
OU Haley Lee oardocuments@ou.edu
OCCC Xavier Jackson xavier.s.jackson@occc.edu
Please allow Counselors two business days to respond and complete the process.
7. When you have enrolled in your classes, send a copy of your concise schedule (make sure your name, classes you are taking, time classes are scheduled and number of credits are visible) to your Counselor. This allows your Counselor to adjust your schedule accordingly. The Counselors do not know that the process is complete until this is on file.

Your AP teacher will be contacting you.
Francis Tuttle
If you currently attend Francis Tuttle, contact your teachers regarding your current grades. When we get more specific information on how they intend to proceed we will post it here. You may also contact your Counselor directly with specific questions or concerns.
If you have applied to Francis Tuttle and are waiting to hear of placement for next year, please be patient. Francis Tuttle is trying to complete the enrollment and acceptance process for next year. It looks like it will be between April 15-21 before we start finalizing things regarding next year and getting the word out to students. They still don’t have some of the critical staff back on campus that input data which helps us project the openings for next year. They are definitely hoping to finalize things soon.
If you are interested in applying to Francis Tuttle, there may still be available spots! Contact keely.gilpin@edmondschools.net for more information.
Scholarships
You have tons of free time now to apply for scholarships! Check out the Counselors website for information on scholarships and apply, apply, apply!!
