## Isaac Newton

He was and is mainly know for his laws on motion, law of gravity, and Newton's method.

He also published a book in 1687 called Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy. It laid the foundations for classical mechanics.

## Newton's law on motion. ~If a body is at rest it remains at rest or, if it is in motion, it moves with uniform velocity, until it is acted on by a resultant force. ~resultant force is equal to mass times acceleration ~For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Or every action always reacts in the opposite direction. | ## Universal gravitation. Physical law that describes the attraction between two objects with mass. | ## Newton's method. provides a way for finding the real zeros of a function. This algorithm is sometimes called the Newton–Raphson method, named after Sir Isaac Newton and Joseph Raphson. |
