LSI Weekly Update
September 26, 2017
Happy Tuesday!
I want to thank everyone that was able to clear some time in their schedule for the GSI planning meeting today! I truly enjoyed the opportunity to have some dialogue and collaboration around a topic that I am so passionate about. I look forward to the future sessions that we plan together!
From one of our own...
I wanted to share with you a blog that was written by Stacie Woodward about a terrific opportunity that she had to engage with some educators from Belarus.
What do educators from Belarus and the United States Have in Common? A Lot
Future protocols
Our project assistants are looking for ways to promote effectiveness and efficiencies! They are currently in the process of developing processes and procedures that may assist with that. In the future you might see new Google forms that provide for an easy way to make travel and supply requests. We are also currently developing a document that may assist in conversations between consultants and PA's in planning out PL's. If you have any suggestions, please let us know!
Growing our understanding of each other's work
In an effort to try to make more visible some of the work that each of us do, I am trying to develop some documents that mind assist as a reference. Attached is the one developed for the PA's. I will be working on a separate document for each of the consultants and asking for your feedback to ensure I haven't missed anything. Let me know if you have any additional thoughts!
New work potential
As we continue to refine our thinking about District and School I encourage you to be considering new methods of support in the areas in which our districts are describing their need. As a reminder, we visited some of these areas in the last unit meeting. Please feel free to submit proposals for professional learning/supports as we move through this school year. Funding that goes unspent can then be reallocated for some of these new initiatives/projects.
