Welcome Back!
Park View Middle School is excited to welcome students who will be returning to school for face to face instruction on Monday, February 22nd.
Monday, February 22nd, begins A week. While A week students are in school and learning face to face, B week students will be learning from home remotely.
Monday, March 1st, begins B week. While B week students are in school and learning face to face, A week students will be learning from home remotely.
For students who have chosen to return to school for face to face instruction, we want to assure you that safety is our top priority. Specific safety procedures are in place to protect us all, including adhering to social distancing of 6 feet, wearing face coverings, frequent hand washing/sanitizing, and keeping the building clean.
We are excited to have students back in the building and we are prepared for their return. We have high expectations for all of our students and we will support them in every way we can.

Health and Safety Measures Parents, you are our first line of defense in keeping our school community safe and healthy. If your child is sick, do not send them to school. If your child requires medication to bring down their fever or stop cold/flu/COVID like symptoms, they should not be in school. They must be fever or symptom free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. Your child may stay at home and work remotely. If your child comes to school sick, they will be removed from the classroom and you will be called to come pick them up immediately. Students will be asked a series of screening questions each day, but you may also review those screening questions each day before sending your child to school as well. Please keep your child at home if he or she:
If you have questions, please contact the school nurse and/or your healthcare provider for direction. | School Supplies for In Person StudentsFor the first day of school, please send students with basic supplies such as pencils, paper, and notebooks. Teachers will send a supply list home with students on the first day of school that will detail what they will need moving forward. Students will need to bring their Chromebook and charger to school with them each day. Students are allowed to bring a water bottle to school for their personal use. Due to concerns for the spread of COVID-19, water fountains will only be available to fill water bottles. Students will not be allowed to drink directly from the water fountain. If students do not have a water bottle, we will make see to it that they are able to get water when they need. Students may bring their own lunch, or get a lunch from the school cafeteria. Due to COVID restrictions, we are not able to have parents come in and have lunch with students. Neither are we able to accept lunches dropped off from outside restaurants. Students may bring individual bottles of hand sanitizer, but there are also hand sanitizer stations throughout the building, and students will be given the opportunity to wash their hands in the restrooms as well. | Notes on Instruction--Remaining Virtual/Shifting to In Person Learning

Notes on Instruction--Remaining Virtual/Shifting to In Person Learning
- Remaining Virtual - It is our expectation that students who remain virtual students engage in learning as synchronously as possible. This means attending Google Meets and completing classwork during the assigned block. This will give students the opportunity ask and receive answers to questions in real time, participate in classroom discussion with their in person peers, and get a deeper understanding of what is expected of them as remote learners. If your remote learner cannot participate in real time please let the teacher know.
- Shifting to In Person Learning - It is our goal that students who are returning for face to face instruction receive instruction that aligns to a blended learning model. This means that students will still be responsible for work posted in Canvas, but they will also have supplemental work and instruction from the teacher while they are in class face to face. This supplemental work will be designed to meet the needs of the students.
