Follow-Up: Field Day

Parents/Guardians may attend the Field Day events during their child's designated times. Siblings are not able to participate in Field Day events due to liability concerns. All Parents/Guardians must present valid government issued ID upon entering the school building and they must use the SchoolGate Guardian computer system in the office before entering the school hallways. If a parent/guardian does not have required ID, they will not be allowed to remain in the building or on school property. Thank you.

Your child's technology device and accessories will be collected during the last week of school. Monday, June 13th: All iPads and accessories will be collected. Tuesday, June 14th: All Chromebooks and accessories will be collected. All items noted below are expected to be returned. Please remove all stickers, papers in between the case and device, etc. prior to devices and accessories being returned.

If technology devices and accessories are not returned during the last week of school, final report cards will not go home with the student and technology bills will be sent to parents/guardians. Please ensure all technology devices and accessories are turned in by your child during the last week of school. Thank you.

Do you have an upcoming kindergartner? (see flyer below)

Big picture

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books before your precious one starts kindergarten. Does it sound hard? Not really if you think about it. If you read just 1 book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That’s 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years! If you consider that most children start kindergarten around 5 years old, you have more time thank you think to get started.

To participate in this program with Blackwater Regional Library visit any of our locations to get your first reading log. Once you finish that first log, turn it in and get the next. Continue until you’ve reached 1000! The librarians will even have a special surprise for you when you turn in each log!

You may also visit 1000 Books Before Kindergarten to print your own reading log if you are unable to visit the library.

Attendance Matters

Late arrivals and early pick-ups impact your student's learning. Please ensure that your child is at school for the entire school day: 8:55a.m. - 3:30p.m. (vehicle pick-ups) 3:50p.m. (bus riders).

Student Drop Off and Pick Up

Morning Drop Off:

Beginning at 8:35a.m. and 8:55a.m., please drop your child off in the main parking lot loop. Staff members will be there to receive your child(ren).

Afternoon Pick Up:

Beginning at 3:30p.m., afternoon pick up will begin. Vehicles are to line up in the bus loop in front of the school and looped through the main parking lot.

Students who are vehicle pick ups in the afternoon will not be released until 3:30p.m. For safety reasons, families are asked to remain in their vehicle until their student is delivered to their respective vehicle by a staff member.

Do you need to speak with your child's teacher?

Please contact your child's teacher to set up an appointment. Parents/guardians will not be permitted to visit their child's teacher/classroom between the hours of 8:30a.m. and 4:00p.m., during the instructional day, unless the meeting has been prescheduled.

Waterford Mentor - Summer

Our K-2 students will have the opportunity to use Waterford Mentor over the summer. Teachers will send the Mentor Codes home again, just like we did over winter break.
