Elementary & Middle School Auditions
We have three positions open for elementary and middle school students and we wanted to pass on the audition info to the district for Shrek the Musical that BHS will be producing in March.
Elementary & Middle School Auditions
Auditions for Little Shrek, Little Fiona, and Teen Fiona are:
Monday, January 17th at 8am in the BHS Choir Room.
Little Shrek students can be in grades: 3-4
Little Fiona students can be in grades 3-4
Teen Fiona students can be in grades 7-8
There is nothing to prepare, we will have some singing and some character reading for you that we will have you read through in groups.
Students need to be confident enough to solo sing and monologue.
Rehearsal Requirements
Jan 26th 4:30-6pm, Jan 27th 6pm (leave after their scenes)
Feb 17th 3:30-6:30pm (leave after their scenes)
Feb 21st 9-11am (leave after their scenes)
Mar 4th 3:30-6:30pm choreography w/ cast for finale
A couple of rehearsals Tech Week Mar 6-11th (we would not make you stay the whole time)
All rehearsals during Dress Week Mar 13-17th
Mar 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th 5:30-9pm
Can leave after initial run through
4 shows Mar 18th 7pm, Mar 19th 7pm, Mar 20th 1pm & 6pm
Call time is TBD
Parents & Students need to fill out this application before the audition
Just a reminder to send your children to school with a warm coat, hat and mittens during our arrival and dismissal times. Kids are not let in the building until 8:00 am. Breakfast kids come in at 7:45, but return back outside.
To play in the snow at recess, snow boots and snow pants are needed. Otherwise they stand on the sidewalks and basketball courts.
Students will go outside for recess, if the"feels" like temperature is 20 degrees or above.
Please label all of their belongings if possible.

Audio Screening
Thank you to those parents who have already offered to volunteer their time. We have all the spots filled.
COVID-19 Information
Positive Diagnosis - Isolate for 5 days from symptom onset. If asymptomatic, isolate for 5 days from positive test date. Day 1 of isolation is first full day after diagnosis or symptom onset. Return on day 6 if fever free for 24 hours. Wear mask for 5 additional days upon return.
Quarantine Procedures In Home Close Contact
Vaccinated
- Continue to attend school
- Monitor for symptoms
- Masks recommend through day 10
Unvaccinated
- Quarantine for 5 days from date of last exposure, return on day 6.
- Masks recommend through day 10.
- Recommend testing on day 5, but not required
- Must be symptom free
Symptom Checks
At this time, a student will be sent home due to COVID-19 symptoms in the following scenarios:
Students and staff with any one of the following symptoms should remain at home and follow the guidance below:
New cough
New onset of shortness of breath
New loss of taste or smell
Students and staff with two or more of the following symptoms should remain at home and follow the guidance below:
fever 100.4 or above, chills, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue
Individual is able to return to school:
Alternate diagnosis from a physician AND 24 hours have passed since last fever without the use of fever-reducing medications OR
Negative test received AND 24 hours have passed since the last fever without the use of fever-reducing medications OR
Isolate at home for 5 days AND 24 hours have passed since last fever without the use of fever-reducing medication AND symptoms have improved
