Mr. Dayton Assigns Newspaper Project

As the semester ends for WSCA, that means communications ends. For the last project, teacher, Mr. Dayton assigns everyone to work on a newspaper.

What is this newspaper about? Well, it is about the wonderful second period class of communications. Every student is creating a newspaper based on many of the projects we have done this semester.

As a student, I believe this can help us improve our creativeness and writing skills while also having fun with this project. It also helps enhance our writing abilities and expanding our vocabulary. It will be wonderful to see what the other students come up with

Colors = Personality?

Everybody has different personalities. But, did you know that colors can describe you?Earlier in the year, every student took a quiz and recieved a color based on their personality.

To be brief, the colors represent traits that are specific to an individual. Greens like to be logical with things. Oranges however, act without thinking much. Blues like to express themselves with emotion and are very friendly. Golds like to plan out most things in a very detailed and thorough fashion.

Many people were quite surprised when they saw that the results almost matched up exactly how they were like. They were really impressed by it as well. Now, they use that info to try and better themselves, without totally changing their personality and they make references to that today.

Paper Structure

For a side project, students built structures using paper. They were not allowed to talk to each other whilst building, making this a real challenge to cooperate.

Chien-Shiung Wu

Chien-Shiung Wu was one of the most important and educated women in history. As a young girl, she studied physics and sometime in the future she became a well-known physicist.

As a child, she was curious to learn, despite the fact that there were no schools at the time for girls. Luckily, her dad was able to create a school for her. As time passed, she grew as one of the smartest kids in her school and moved to a boarding school.

When she graduated highschool, she went to a college; Soochow, then graduated in 1930. Soon she herself became a teacher at Princeton University, and the students adored her. Also, she didn't recive much credit for helping with the atomic bomb. Though later on her actions had consequences, good ones, and she recived two awards; The Wolf Prize and the National Medal of Science.
