Borrowed Clothes from the Clothes Closet

Our Clothes Closest is running low on kids clothes, specifically sweats sizes 6 to 16. These clothes are used if a child has an bathroom accident or gets wet or muddy outside or spills milk, etc. If you have any clothes that were borrowed, please wash and return. Or, if you have any gently used sweat pants to donate, you can drop them by the office. This is much appreciated. Thank you!

Dual Language Immersion Program

Enrollment Application for 2023-24

Applications for enrollment in Magnets schools will be open March 1, 2023 to any in-district or out of district family. Selection is based on 4 priorities:

  1. Students who live in the school boundary for the Magnet school.
  2. Students who have siblings in the Magnet School Program.
  3. Students who live in the Salem-Keizer School District boundary, but live outside the Magnet School boundary.
  4. Students who live outside of the Salem-Keizer School District Boundary.

Parents interested in enrolling their child in a Dual Language Program at a Magnet school for Kindergarten or first Grade for the 2023-24 school year, can pick up application forms at Grant, Harritt or Myers elementary schools beginning on March 1, 2023.

For more information check out the district website.

Edge Application Window March 1-31

Established in 2020, the EDGE program is a K-12 program within the Salem-Keizer public school system. This program was created to meet the needs of families seeking an alternative pathway towards graduation and support student development of digital literacy skills. EDGE’s curriculum is standards based, incorporates digital tools, and is measured by proficiency-based assessments. EDGE students, while enrolled in the program, continue to have access to their resident schools for resources such as after school clubs, as well as other extracurricular activities.

Your student must be enrolled and have a student number in Salem Keizer School District to be accepted into the EDGE program. If you are new to the Salem Keizer School District or have a student entering kindergarten for the first time, you must enroll at your resident school before admission can be granted into the EDGE program.

Need more information? Check the district website.

Lunch Menus Food Services will not be printing lunch menus to send to the schools. They will post on each schools website, as well on the District website. They are having a hard time getting anything on a consistent basis and cannot depend on suppliers to have what is needed. The food chain/Supply and Demand is ever flexing.
