Region 11 Literacy
September
Literacy@11
The Region 11 literacy team is dedicated to providing professional development, technical assistance, and resources for teachers in Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. Learning experiences are TEKS-based with an emphasis on teaching all student expectations to the level of mastery. State assessment data and surveys are used to determine areas of need so that literacy teachers are offered highly requested trainings designed to help them maximize instructional time. In addition, we offer instructional coaching services across all grade levels and can address any questions or concerns you may have.

Continuing through day two, attendees will learn how to teach brief, focused mini-lessons; provide responsive small-group instruction; and empower learners to engage in purposeful, independent practice. Throughout the institute, teachers will have an opportunity to dive deep -- unpacking, researching, and self-selecting learning paths designed to meet individual needs. Ongoing, online learning opportunities will be offered throughout the year.
