Opportunities to Support SBHS Families
These are challenging times for many in our community. If you are able, please consider helping with these drives to support other Stone Bridge families.
- Clothing Drive Signup - Students and families have expressed a need for winter clothing. Students especially love SBHS hoodies and hats.
- Food Drive Donations - The Mase Foundation and Stone Bridge Athletics partnered to coordinate food baskets for our families at Thanksgiving. They are repeating this project with gift cards for groceries to be passed out before Winter Break.
- Virtual Giving Tree for Holiday Gifts - There are many families in need more than ever this year. Due to circumstances, we will do a Virtual Giving Tree in the form of gift cards based on the students’ and families’ specific holiday wishes and needs.

Congrats to our Excellence in Education Honorees
Being among the top 5 percent of academic achievers in Loudoun County Public Schools’ senior class is an accomplishment worth celebrating. In lieu of the Loudoun Education Foundation’s annual Excellence in Education Banquet, LCPS is celebrating the members of the Class of 2021 who achieved this distinction here, and through school-based celebrations later in the school year.
The Stone Bridge seniors listed below were to have been honored at the 38th Annual Excellence in Education Banquet on December 6. LCPS and the Loudoun Education Foundation want to make sure the community recognizes these students’ academic accomplishments.
The Loudoun high school seniors honored at the Excellence in Education Banquet are those in the Class of 2021 from the LCPS’ 16 high schools with a graduating class and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology who have ranked in the top 5 percent of their class academically during the first three years of their high school career. Students also are recognized for their selection as a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist or National Hispanic Recognition Scholar.
The honored students from Stone Bridge High School are listed below.
Mental Health Matters Training
In efforts to promote mental health awareness in our teens, the Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT) at Stone Bridge High School will be offering the Mental Health Matters presentation to ninth graders on January 5th and 6th during Health and PE classes. The presentation educates students about resiliency and healthy ways to manage life’s stressors using the Sources of Strength model. Help-seeking behaviors are taught for when students may be experiencing mental health struggles. They are taught to share their concerns with a trusted adult. The lesson is presented by the school psychologist, school social worker, and school counselors. Students are given information as how to contact UMHT members for follow-up, as well as contact information for urgent situations.
If you do not wish for your student to participate, please send a note to your child’s school counselor by Monday January 4th opting your child out of the presentation. Additionally, if you have any questions please contact Dr. Lichtman at Theresa.lichtman@lcps.org.
Health Office News for Hybrid Students

Please email Nurse Alexis Kerr your student's Allergy Action Plan, Asthma Action Plan, Seizure Emergency Action Plan, Authorization for Medication Administration and/or Diabetic Medical Management Plan as applicable (Click here for blank copies of the forms).
Please email completed forms to: Alexis.Kerr@lcps.org. PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF MEDICATIONS OR MEDICAL SUPPLIES AT THIS TIME. Please note that if your student requires an inhaler during the school day, they will need a spacer available in school due to concerns related to COVID-19.
