Home & School President's Letter
Hello Prairie Point families,
I’d like to start off thanking our volunteers for the month of January. We held our Annual Donuts with Dad, gave the staff a “Sweet & Salty” treat day and promoted Great Art in many classrooms. Thank you, parents, for taking the time to come in and help. I also want to send a shout out to our marquee master and Thursday folders crew for keep us informed every week.
I can’t believe it is time for us to start planning for next year. We have positions open on our board as well as some committee chairs. I find people often get nervous when we start talking about joining the board. It’s not as scary as it seems! Let me tell you what we do:
We set up the calendar for Home & School events for the school year. We make sure all committees have a committee chair. We set up a budget for all committees and Home & School for the school year. Throughout the year, we hold our monthly meetings. We send out communication via the Panther Press, Facebook and our marquee. We assist the committee chairs with their events. We track spending to make sure we are within our budget. We assist the school with any needs that may arise.
Being on the board is a wonderful way to support the school. Please take the time to consider where you may want to assist and contact any board member if you have any questions at homeandschoolprairiepoint@gmail.com.
I will continue to highlight any open committees we expect to have next year in the Panther Press.
Have a great February.

Every student who completes this requirement and turns in their log to the main office by February 23, 2018 is eligible to receive a FREE admission ticket valid at our local Six Flags Theme Park.

The Prairie Point Fun Fair is right around the corner! (March 2nd) We have lots of fun games and cool prizes in store, but we need your help.
We are looking for donations of small items to use as prizes redeemable for one ticket. (I.e. Happy Meal toys, small trinkets, stickers, etc.) Items can be dropped off in the office or placed in the box by Mrs. Taylor’s desk outside of Mrs. Paluch’s room. Thank you so much for your help!
