Tip of the Week- When Good Wireless Goes Bad
DID YOU KNOW? Print Center Features
Action Item- Add Profile Picture In the Learning Hub
It's a pretty quick process.
To add a profile picture:
1. Pick a professional picture of yourself. If you don’t want to use a picture of yourself then you will use the school logo or the FISD sunburst. Save that picture on your computer.
2. Log into the Hub.
3. In the top right corner, click on your name and “Profile”
4. Choose "Edit Profile"
5. Scroll down and find “New Picture”
6. You can either use the little green + to find the saved picture file or you can drag and drop it on the box.
7. Choose “Update Profile”.
If you have any trouble, let me know and I can come around and help you!
THANK YOU for taking care of this for us!
Tool of the Week- Just in Time Google Help
This extension has a whole collection of interactive tutorials. When you select a tutorial, a small player opens up and text appears in a box. A voice reads aloud the information to you and as you need to click on something on the screen, the tutorial will highlight the correct areas for you! You participate by clicking on the highlighted areas.
If you prefer video tutorials, you can go to https://portal.synergyse.com and search for the video you need!
The best part- If you are on staff at LTHS or CTE, I have already installed this extension for you. As long as you are logged in to your Chrome browser, it will already be there. Look for the icon in the picture at the top of your screen. LTHS students also have this installed.

Follow Friday
Vicki Davis (@coolcatteacher) is this week's Follow Friday and she doesn't play with all that nonsense. She is one of those who actually tweets stuff that is helpful! Incidentally, she also has a web site and she has been featured in Forbes, the New York Times, NPR, The Washington Post, Mashable, and Edutopia. Building your PLN takes some time and thoughtful consideration. If you have someone that you follow who you think I should share, please let me know! I would love to spread some knowledge!
