June Semester Exam Schedule and Conflicts

The final exam schedule is now posted. With the final exam published, it has come to my attention that there may be family obligations in conflict with the published exam schedule. Any request to move an exam or take an exam late, needs to come through my office using this google form. No Semester exam will be administered prior to June 17, 2022, the official start of the exam period. However, I am willing to work with you if there is a conflict that can be resolved within the final exam schedule (June 17 - June 23). If we are unable to find a time during the exam period we can work to find a mutually agreeable time to complete the exam during the summer. The first two summer make-up dates will be Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28 at 9:00 AM. Please know, any student who does not complete their exam before June 23, 2022 will likely have an incomplete until school resumes in August. I realize that some absences are unplanned, and if you miss an exam on a given day, you would work with your teacher directly to reschedule the exam in a make-up window OR plan to complete the exam over the summer.

AP Exam Reminder

This a reminder that AP exams will run from May 2, 2022 - May 13, 2022. Here is a schedule of the exams we will be administering here at school. Specific classroom locations will be forthcoming from Ms. Delafano in the College Counseling office.

Masco Day of Silence

The Day of Silence is a national, student-led day of action where people take a vow of silence all day long as a symbolic representation of the silencing of LGBTQ+ folks and their allies. Masco will recognize the Day of Silence on Wednesday, April 13. Participating students will have stickers identifying them and you should reach out to teachers to ensure the Day of Silence will not impact planned assessments.

Model UN

It was another successful weekend for the Masco MUN team! Masco delegates traveled to Concord Academy on Saturday, April 2nd to debate and collaborate with students from across New England. Topics included vaccine allocation, reproductive rights, NASA’s Artemis mission, and the death of Julius Caesar. Meghan Burr was recognized by conference chairs for her outstanding efforts in the historic crisis committee on the 2000 U.S. election. Attached are some photo highlights from the day. You can see the full album on our Masco MUN page or by following this link.

Next up is Westwood MUNC on April 30th. Registered delegates will meet briefly (15 min or so) after school on Tuesday April 5th in room 2280 to discuss country/committee assignments for that conference. Please let me know if you cannot attend.
