NOSD Summer School Programming

June 21st - July 16th (8 am - Noon) no school July 5th

5K-8 Course Offerings


Our "Getting Ready For" (5K-2nd grade) summer classes are designed for students who may need additional skill-building/learning supports over the Summer. Students will gain additional supports in a fun and engaging environment. Teachers will notify the parent/guardian if their student would benefit from attending this class.


If you have not received a recommendation email from your child's teacher, but would like to enroll in one of the "Getting Ready For" classes, please contact the teacher to be placed on a waitlist due to seat availability.


Learning/Skill-Building Classes for elementary and middle school students

  • Grade-level learning and skill-building in reading and mathematics.
  • Students will practice reading and writing skills while digging into the world of Minecraft. Students will practice math skills and concepts while engaging in games, technology, and the use of manipulatives.


Enrichment courses for elementary and middle school students

  • Board Games, focused on fun while enhancing problem-solving, relationship building, math & reading skills.

  • STEM, Rube Goldberg, forest exploration, nature adventures, greenhouse gardening.

  • Mixed sports, softball fundamentals, volleyball academy & yoga.

  • Fiber Arts, introduction to basic crochet, loom knitting, and needle felting.

  • Tech Adventures with a focus on writing code and game design.

  • Environmental reading, exploring problem-solving techniques.
