Sharpen the Saw
Finding ways to show we care makes us feel good. Collecting items for the Linn County Food Bank is a meaningful way to help others!
Leader Binders
Sharpen the Saw
The KLA community comes together to raise money for one of our families. We can support each other and have fun at the same time!
Sharpen the Saw- Have a Heart, Fill the Cart!
In learning the 7 Habits at KLA, we are learning that Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw means that we strengthen our hearts when we do something for others. When we find ways to show we care, we feel good inside. Next week, KLA students will be learning more about this service project during their classroom Lead Time and they will be encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to this cause. We have set the student goal to be 1500 items. Ask your child about their class goal!
What: Have a Heart, Fill the Cart Food Drive. Please consider donating non-perishable food items to this project. Non-perishable means any food item that doesn't have to be refrigerated and won't spoil for a long time. Examples include canned fruits and vegetables, soup, peanut butter, pasta, mac and cheese, tuna, crackers and cereal. No glass containers please.
When: Tuesday, Feb. 7-Tuesday Feb. 14
Where: Students can put their donated items in the box outside their classroom.
We are so excited for this project at KLA. We thank you in advance for your help.
