A message from Administration
Dear Plato Academy Seminole Families,
I would like to share the following news with you – our families and community of PAS. It is with mixed emotions, I want to share with you that the 2022-2023 school year is my last year as Principal at Plato Academy Seminole, as I have accepted the position of Chief Staff Development with our wider Plato Academy Schools organization. It has been truly an honor to be a member of PAS these past two years and want to assure you that it has been a most rewarding experience.
I have enjoyed every day (some more than others) serving our school as your Principal. It is the people – the students, parents, staff, and community – that makes Phoenix a very special place. Together, we have made tremendous progress in a variety of areas since we started the journey together.
I can tell you that thanks to the hard work of the teachers, the students, the office personnel, the custodial crew, and the community, Plato Academy Seminole is a school that keeps rising to Arête due in part to our commitment to academic excellence. To name a few, our school grade went up last year from a “C” to a “B”, we have been fully accredited under the Southern Association of Colleges and schools, as managed by Cognia. Our alumni have been accepted into magnet, IB and fundamental high school programs. Our Phoenix students are committed to the wider community by engaging in various community projects and competitions including Peer Mediation, NJHS, Save Club, Giving Back to the Community Projects and participating in the National History Day Competition and Ellinomathia. This past year, we brought back sports and our teams enjoyed playing with the other teams while also 8th graders vs Staff kickball game at the end of the school year. We started new traditions such as KEFI Festival, Olympic Opening Ceremony and Greek Choir with our 4th graders. We have created numerous opportunities for teachers to serve as leaders, planning and leading professional development, and contributing to fellow teachers while still teaching classes. I am very proud and honored to have been a small part of this amazing community.
I will not deny that this is a bittersweet moment; I will miss my daily interactions with each and every one of the staff and future young leaders. I have so many wonderful memories of which I will treasure, and as I keep evolving as a leader, please know that I will still be an integral part of this family. A family very dear and near to my heart. I want to thank each and every one of you for all your support, for trusting your children and for allowing me the opportunity to lead such an amazing school community. I am excited and confident that your new Principal, Mrs. Jones will serve and lead our school with the same passion and commitment.
Please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation for all your support, and know our paths will cross again in the near future, as our organization continues to do what is right for all our students in our community.
Sincerely,
Dawn Parker

Plato Academy SeminoleGreetings Plato Academy Seminole Families,
It is with great enthusiasm and gratitude that I announce my role as your principal for the 2023-2024 school year. Since I arrived in 2017, I have come to cherish the culture, values, and people that make up Plato Academy Seminole. Each student, staff member, and family is of utmost importance to me, and my dedication to our school and community is unwavering.
Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of getting to know each student and family on a personal level. Witnessing the growth and achievements of each PAS Phoenix has been a joy for me. I am honored to continue my journey at Plato Seminole as an educational leader.
I am grateful for the mentorship and leadership development opportunities provided by my predecessors, particularly Mrs. Dawn Parker, with whom I have worked closely for the past two years. My aspiration is to carry on her legacy and maintain the excellent reputation of our school.
Thank you for entrusting me with the education and well-being of your children. I look forward to the upcoming school year and the continued growth of our community.
