LIS Tiger Talk
August 26, 2022
Thanks to everyone who was able to attend Family Information Night on Thursday. Welcoming everyone in the building, I couldn't help to think about what a wonderful community we have with amazing families who support their students.
This week our students are finishing up ELA MAP Assessments. MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) is a comprehensive assessment focused on tracking the growth of students over time. MAP results also provide data for teachers to guide instruction within the classroom. Students will be taking the Math MAP Assessment next Tuesday and Wednesday in their math class.
Runner's Club is back this year. A BIG thanks to our staff for stepping up to take it over after Mr. Federman's retirement. Check out the details below and PLEASE remember you must sign up in Final Forms.
Please take a moment to check out the information from our MINT PTSA and consider joining. We are extremely fortunate for their support with teacher grants, Camp Kern/Field Trip sponsorships, Science Day, conference meals and more!
Have a great weekend and Go Tigers!
