Spanish Content
Finding Spanish Content in NWAEA Digital Resources
Where Can I Find It?
For example, Bookflix has stories and accompanying nonfiction books on a similar subject available in Spanish. Britannica has three Spanish encyclopedias. ScienceFlix has articles written and also read in Spanish. MackinVia has eBooks that are available in Spanish and a few of them are read-alongs which means they are professionally narrated. Finally, our newest resource, PebbleGo has articles written and read in Spanish. PebbleGo also has activities and games that can be used to accompany the articles. These are undoubtedly useful materials for EL students whose primary language is Spanish or for English-speaking students who are trying to master Spanish. However, they are only useful if you can access the materials.
To help you do that, I've created some tutorials that will guide you in the process. Since the video includes all the resources I've previously mentioned, it is fairly long. It is not, however, meant to be watched from beginning to end. The video includes a table of contents (watch on YouTube), so you can choose the resource you want to know more about or click on the links in the descriptions below. As always, I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the resources as well.
