Blue Bell Recall
By Cesar Valverde
Description
On April 20, 2015, Blue Bell Creameries ordered a total recall on all of their products, due to finding some traces of Listeria in their ice cream products. The recall also included the recall of ice cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet and frozen snacks made by Blue Bell.
Facts
- Listeria is very deadly, can be lethal.
- 10 people so far have been hospitalized.
- 3 out of the 10 hospitalized have died.
- Blue Bell products have been recalled from many states.
- Listeria is the third-leading cause of death due to food poisoning.
Aftermath
I think that more food companies will test all of their products to make sure that nothing like this ever happens. Also that the FDA, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, will set bigger and stricter measures, to ensure that no more people die or have to get hospitalized.
