Dual Credit Information for 2023-2024 School Year

NOTE: Students must have been accepted during the 2022-2023 school year

  • Students who qualify and are accepted into the Dual Credit Program for the 2023-2024 school year must check their class schedule (when available in Skyward) to ensure that the dual credit designation is showing. The designation shows as a "D" next to each course number (ex. 2326D) for the scheduled dual credit course(s).
  • Please email Ms. Amber Padilla (Dual Credit Coordinator) to request any changes to your dual credit courses.

Important Exams 2022-2023

STAAR EOC Exams

The STAAR/EOC 2022 December Retest will be for any student who has not met the minimum score requirement or who did not test in the 2021-2022 academic school year. These exams are required for graduation.

Advanced Placement (AP) Testing

Important student and parent information: The AP exam payment app in student skyward family access is now open. If you were enrolled in AP classroom by Sept. 30, 2022 you can use the online system to pay, or cash payments for exams can be given to Mrs. Avalos in the counseling center. Anyone not enrolled in the AP classroom by 9/30 must pay in cash in order to register. The payment window for both online and cash is open from Oct. 5 - Nov. 11. If you choose not to take an AP exam please go into skyward and cancel the tests you don't plan on taking. Any unpaid AP exams will be cancelled when the payment window closes. Online payment instructions are attached below. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Griffith in the counseling center.

SAT Weekend

The next SAT Weekend Exam Administration is scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Madison High School. The deadline to register for the test is February 10, 2023. Questions? Contact Mrs. Kim Stelter (SAT Weekend Coordinator)


Students MUST bring the following on test day:


  1. Student Test Ticket
  2. Valid photo ID (student ID, TDL, Texas ID, Passport)
  3. Calculator (we do not provide calculators to students)
  4. 2 #2 pencils (not mechanical)


Testing starts at 8:00 a.m. (sharp); check-in at the library (front of the school)

  • All questions regarding course assignments, grades, and due dates need to be directed to your student's teacher via email.

Honor Graduate Designation

All honor graduate seniors will be notified by email in January, 2023, through the NEISD student email, of their official honor graduate designation. The honor graduate designations include the following:


  • Summa Cum Laude: 100+ Overall Weighted Grade Average
  • Magna Cum Laude: 95-99 Overall Weighted Grade Average
  • Cum Laude: 90-94 Weighted Grade Average


This designation is based on all courses taken throughout high school and is not viewable on the student’s transcript or Skyward Family Access. If you have questions, please contact your student’s counselor.

Meet your STAN Counselor/Mental Health

Hello Mavs,

My name is Ashton Chandler, I am the STAN Intervention Counselor at Madison. I am here to help students with any social-emotional counseling needs that they may have.
