BHA Principal's Update
Assalamu Alaikum dear bha families,
Alhamdullilah we had a great start to the 2020-2021 school year. Thank you to all of the students for their positive attitudes, the parents for their patience and our staff for their preparation to make this the best year they possibly can. We look forward to building our relationships as we work together to engage our students during this time of uncertainty.
Jazakomu Allahu Khairan,
Muhammad Aftab Diwan, MEd
Meet & Greet
School Textbooks Accountability:
We want to reiterate that the books are an amana of the school. You are responsible for taking care of them and returning them to the school, in the condition you got them in. If the BHA textbooks are damaged or lost, fees may be charged.
We recognize that some books are in used condition, and have noted the same in our records. You will not be held responsible for that.
If a student notices missing pages or other issues, then please notify your teacher immediately.
BHA Virtual Academy:
We hope everyone is very familiar with our google site by now. Please bookmark this page on your browser if you haven't done so already! https://sites.google.com/view/bhavirtualacademy/home The back to school slides and zoom sessions were also posted by the teachers. They can be your GO TO places to refer to a teacher's policies, insha’Allah.
Assignment charts are updated weekly and shared with you every Sunday morning. They are also posted on the BHA Virtual Academy website. Please consult the assignment chart for your daily schedule of live, support, and independent sessions. It’s important to check it daily as slight adjustments may have been made.
Fridays classes are shorter and school ends by 1:05 PM.
AG Attendance Policy:
Attendance is marked for all LIVE sessions.
Tardy--any student who arrives at the Zoom session after 5 minutes will be marked tardy in Jupiter. Jupiter Concern--Students arriving 10 or more minutes late, without valid reasons will be added as a concern in the Jupiter log.
Absences: Please call the office if your student is going to miss any classes or be absent.
Please check Jupiter regularly to keep up with your child's progress and be aware of missing work. Late work loses grade points as determined by the teacher. All missing work must be completed by the end of the week.
We are happy to announce that NJHS/NHS, Science Fair, Robotics, “For Real, For Real” Broadcast, and Student Council are being continued this year! Yay! Alhumdulillah! We are also introducing a Debate Club this year. Be on a lookout for emails from the concerned teachers, insha’Allah.
The yearbook was distributed along with the materials pick-up, alhumdulillah. If you had ordered and paid for it, but did not get your copy, please call us at the AG campus.
School Reopening Update:
We are eager to open as soon as it is safe to do so. Our Admin team is working to establish the school reopening dates and procedures in accordance with the CDC and County Health Department guidelines. It will be communicated as soon as a decision is reached, inshaAllah.
Your cooperation is very much appreciated. Jazakumu Allahu Khairan for being patient and understanding.
