Attea Flyers
School Newsletter for Parents
For the week of March 15
Hello, Attea families.
With the closing of the selection window for the Adapted In Person phase starting on April 7, planning can continue with a clearer picture of the number of students that will be in school every day. We expect that parents and students have lots of questions about how "things" will work, and we will be providing information as soon as possible. We also will provide a way for families to ask questions. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience amidst any eager anticipation of the new phase.
If you'd like to revisit the District's overview of Adapted In Person, click here.

The rest of the newsletter provides informational updates and helpful reminders to parents about upcoming opportunities. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please contact us: Contact Attea Middle School.
Have a safe and happy weekend.

Next SP/AT PTA Meeting
The next middle school PTA meeting is on Tuesday, March 16 at 9:15am. The meeting will be held virtually, and the PTA will share a link to the meeting directly with parents. All are welcome. If you haven’t had the opportunity to connect with the PTA and would like more information about how to join, more information can be found at PTA's website.
After School Activities
We are happy to announce that with the transition to Adapted In Person in April, we will also be adding some after school, in-person, opportunities for students. These opportunities will be open to both in-person and GOAL students. We are working on which specific activities will be offered, but we know that they will include track and field as well as a school musical opportunity. Please note that if your child will be interested in track and field, they need a sports physical on file in the nurse's office. Click HERE for the sports physical form.
There are lots of logistics to figure out and more information will be shared in the near future. However, you may start hearing your child talk about different opportunities that we are being planned for over the next few weeks. In addition, we will have late buses starting on April 7th to provide transportation for students participating in the school sponsored after school activities. We will be publicizing through our normal avenues (newsletters, morning announcements, emails to students). As activities are shared, if you have questions, feel free to reach out to the supervisor/sponsor/coach.
Panorama Survey
(Reprinted from a recent District newsletter.)
Dear D34 Parents,
As we shared with you a couple of weeks ago, District 34 wants your input to help us identify what we are doing well and where we can focus our efforts in areas of family support, parent education, school climate and developing grit. We know that some of the questions may be difficult to answer in this year's ever-changing environment. We understand if you skip the survey this time around!
Please look for an email to hit your inbox today with a link and access code to take the parent survey from Panorama Education.
If you don't receive an email and would like to take the survey, please contact me. If you have questions about the survey administration, contact Panorama directly at support@panoramaed.com.
Thank you for sharing your valuable input!
5Essentials Parent Survey: we're up to 14% but...
...we need to get to 20% in order to receive any of the parent feedback at all. So far 101 surveys have been submitted, and we only need another 60 to be submitted to reach our threshold.
Of course, we'd like to get to 100% because we truly hope that all parents take the survey because it helps us learn about how we are doing as a school. The parent response goal of 20% is based on Attea's student enrollment, so a parent with more than one child at Attea can and should submit a survey for each child.
Here is a link for parents to take the survey: 5Essentials Parent Survey. It requires only 10 minutes or so to complete. How about taking it right now?
Attea High Flyers
Attea's student recognition program, "High Flyers," is one way we reinforce students' positive character and academic dedication. Students and parents are notified via email when a High Flyer is written. And to add some fun to it, we have a weekly random drawing of prize winners.
Here is a summary list of Attea Flyers Prize Winners.
