We had another fun and busy week in 3rd grade!

Student-Led Conferences

We will be having student-led conferences on Thursday, April 28th from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. At this time, your student will share with you their growth as a learner in 3rd grade. They have prepared and documented their work and are eager to show you what they have accomplished as a 3rd grader.

Several families will be meeting at the same time throughout the classroom. I will be there to welcome you but will not participate in the conference as I feel it is important that your child lead this family conversation.

You may choose a time slot on the attached form to come in to the classroom or you can choose to have your student bring their work home and share with you there. Please choose a time slot that works for you and your family. We are excited for you to celebrate your child's 3rd grade year together.

Important Dates

We have several important dates between now and the end of the school year. (For those students who signed up for Books and Breakfast, I made an error on the date on the Books and Breakfast form. The correct dates are below.)

Please mark these on your calendars!

April 12 and 13--AIR Reading Test

April 26 and 27--AIR Math Test

April 29--Books and Breakfast

May 17-Field Trip to Glacier Ridge Park (Students will need a packed lunch on that day.)

May 18-MAP Math Test

May 20-Field Day!

May 25-MAP Reading Test

May 27-Books and Breakfast

June 6-Last Day of School

Because we have 2 days of testing next week, the only homework the children have is to read daily for 20-30 minutes. For this trimester, students do not need to log their home reading.
