Proclamtion of 1763
The King of England said that the colonist were not allowed to go move into the Ohio River Valley, because he did not want to pay for another war.
Stamp Act of 1765
The king made a law saying all colonist had to pay taxes for paper items if it had a seal. The colonists began burning the seals.
The Townshend Acts of 1767
The colonist had to pay taxes on glass, lead, paints, paper, tea and this law also allowed tax collector to check the colonist house or business for smuggle goods.
The Boston Massacre Of 1770
A mob gather around British soldiers and started throwing snowball. One of the soldier got hit on the head by a club and fired upon the crowd. 5 people were killed during the shooting.
The Tea Act 1773
The taxes on glass, lead, paints, and paper were repealed, but the only taxes that the colonists had to pay for now is tea.
The Boston Tea Party of 1773
Colonist disguised as Indians sneaked onto the three tea filled ships and dumped over 340 tea chest into the Boston Harbor
The Intolerable Acts Of 1774
Boston Harbor was closed after the Boston Tea party and it wont open back up until the ruined tea was paid for. The Intolerable Acts canceled the Massachusetts charter and the governor decide if and when they can meet. Another act called Quartering was required for all colonist to feed and shelter one or two of the soldier.
Lexington and Concord
70 armed minutemen waited for the British troops. "Don't fire unless fire upon" yelled John. A gun shot rang the earth and the battle began. 10 badly wounded and 8 dead minutemen laid on the field while only one British soldier was wounded. Still to this day nobody knows which side took the first shot.
