Poe's early years
Edgar Allen Poe was born in Boston on January 19, 1809. Poe was born to traveling actor parents and was the second of three children. Edgar's parents were David and Elizabeth Poe. Elizabeth died in 181. When Edgar got out of school he went of live with is grandmother, aunt, and cousin Virginia. Virginia was born on August 22, 1822. At the age of 27 Poe married Virginia who was 13 at the time. They enjoyed singing together at night and were a happy family. Virginia died in 1847, 10 days after Edgar's birthday. Due to the same disease his mother died from.
Poe's Final days
Poe wrote many books some of his most famous were, Ligeia, The Manuscript Found in a Bottle, and The Gold Bug. In Poe's final days he was found laying outside of Gunner's Hall. here we was going to meet a friend and collapsed. He was taken to a hospital and later died on October 7,1849.
