Ways to prevent wasting energy
Why Should We Save Energy
Conserving Energy At Home
Insolation can be used to save energy, because when you don't have a good insolation in your house, air comes out from the outside walls, windows, and doors. But if you have a good insolation, air doesn't come in through the open areas, and you won't have to change the temperature as much which means, you won't have to pay as much money for the air conditioning.
Another way you can persevere energy is switching your lightbulb out for a LED lightbulb. This lightbulb uses 70 to 90% less energy than a regular lightbulb that doesn't work as well. Also these lightbulb's can last up to 10 or 25 times longer. But the LED lightbulb can also save $30 to $80 in money used for electricity bills. The lightb8ulb is know for having 70 up to 90% less heat, so it’s safer to operate. It can also cut save money paid for electricity and home cooling.
You can also wash cloths on warm or cold instead of hot. Washing two loads a week on warm/cold instead of hot water can save up to 500 pounds of CO2 per year. With an electric water heater or 150 pounds for a gas heater.
But you can also clean or replace air filters. Energy is wasted when air conditioners have to work harder to draw air through a dirty air filter. It can save 5% of energy used, that could save 175 pounds of CO2 per year.
Another way we could save energy is wrapping your water heater in an insulation jacket. This may save up to 1100 pounds of CO2 per year for an electrical heater and 220 pounds for gas heaters.

Ways To Prevent Loss Of Energy At School
A fun way for kids to save energy is having a recycling contest between all of the grades. The kids will be able to find recyclable items and put them in to the bin. The grade with the most recyclable items gets a pizza party. This allows the kids to preserve energy because instead of throwing items away, they put them in the recyclable bin so the other people can give them to other people to use in different ways. or certain people will make different items out of the recyclable items. This also takes less energy to make a product from recycled materials than it does to make it from new materials. Also Making a ton of paper from recyclable saves up to 17 trees and uses 50% less water.
Also try using automatic lights. So every time you leave a room the lights turn off for you. So this saves a lot of energy, because when you leave the room your gone for more than a minute so that's a minute of energy you can save.
This will help a lot because every time you leave a rom and leave the lights on that is a whole bunch of energy being wasted. So if you turn off the lights when you leave a room that is a lot of energy that you're conserving.
The teachers and students can help plant trees around the windows so whenever it gets hot the trees help block out some of the heat that comes through the windows. This saves energy because when you have the trees by the windows it keeps the school cool. So the school wouldn’t have to change the air conditioning as much, which saves a lot of energy.

Conserving Energy In our community
You can have a car pool which saves on gasoline which can save CO2. If you have brothers or sisters, your neighbor can take them to school one day and your parent can take them to school the next day. This saves energy because both of you guys aren’t using both your cars each day. This saves energy because your equaling out how much energy use in one day.
You can also install solar panels in the community library. When you use a solar panel it saves energy because you get energy from the sun and not from your electricity. This saves a lot of money because you're basically just getting energy for free.
Monitoring your air conditioning and heaters at community areas like stores, churches, and libraries. When you do this you can save energy because normally we just check our heaters and air conditioning three times a week or so. But if we check them, everyday then we can change the settings so we don’t use as much energy as necessary.
