Lawrence Onward Our First Week

September 12, 2020

First week

This week the Lawrence School District welcomed Cohort A, known as the Blue cohort, back into our buildings. This was the first in- person schooling since March 13th. We remotely began Google classrooms for our Gold Cohort (B ) and our full remote learners. Special education classes, the daily blue and gold cohort, began this week as well. All of our learners respected the 3 w’s ( wash hands, watch distances and wear a mask). They showed LAWRENCE PRIDE!

Thank you Inwood Fire Department

The learners at the ECC @#4 practiced their first fire drill this week. They were then treated to a special impromptu visit with one of the Inwood Fire Department trucks. We do appreciate that the fire department members took time to give Lawrence’s youngest learners a joyful moment.

We will never forget.

On 9/11 we honored the heroes and the memory those who lost their lives with moments of silence. We conducted flag ceremonies, changing each school’s flag to a new and bigger flag. Links to view the flag ceremonies held at each of our schools in honor and remembrance of 9/11 are found here:
