Spring ISD, Houston Dynamo and Dash Announce Diesel's Readers Program
Spring ISD is excited to team up with the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash for the Diesel’s Readers school readers program--a partnership which utilizes the power of the soccer teams and the sport of soccer to support teachers in their efforts to boost reading away from the classroom.
The program, which will run from Oct. 12-Nov. 20, is open for all kindergarten through 6th grade students in the district. Students will have the opportunity to win various prizes, including a ticket per student to a Dynamo or Dash game in 2021. The school with the most read books combined over the six week program will win the grand prize of having a Houston Dynamo or Dash player reading a book live!
**Students who read five or more books will receive their earned complimentary ticket with a purchase of a parent fundraiser ticket. Link to redeem the complimentary ticket will be provided to classes to share with parents.
Want to see your student’s grades and report cards? Log into HAC!
As we prepare to release progress reports and report cards this fall, we wanted to remind you how to check your child’s grades on the Home Access Center.
The key is to log into the myspringisd portal and into HAC. There you will find a Grades tab. When you click on that, you will see where to locate your child’s progress report (IPR), report cards and more.
Remember, the username and password you use to log into the portal is the same username and password for logging into HAC. Also, parents should log in using their credentials, not their student’s.
Staying connected with your child’s academic progress is a great way to ensure your student’s success in school. By monitoring and encouraging, you can help support your child’s performance.
See the attached handouts in English and Spanish for step-by-step directions.
