America's Bloodiest Battle
Gettysburg occured July 1st, 2nd and 3rd in 1863. The battle at Gettysburg was the bloodiest battle in American history. Of the three battle days the second day was the longest and the costliest. The significance of this battle was it was a turning point in the civil war. Nine of the one hundred and twenty died or were severly injured.
