A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL BROOKS

A message from Principal Brooks

Happy New Year Vikings,

I trust you had a peaceful holiday season and a great start to 2021. We experienced many challenges throughout the previous year, yet we made it through successfully. It’s now time for us to be fully focused on the opportunities that lie ahead. Thank you Vikings for your commitment and dedication throughout 2020 and for the work you will do throughout 2021.

We begin our Spring 2021 testing activities in two weeks starting with the nine weeks exams. The nine weeks exams will be followed by MAPS testing, TELPAS, and STAAR/EOC testing. Our goal of ensuring every student attains mastery level performance of every lesson activity and assessment remains at the forefront of our work. Whether your student is designated as a remote or in-person learner we need every student present and engaged in every class everyday. The Viking teachers and staff are counting on the entire community to help us in this effort.

Thank you again for your commitment to the success of The Great L. G. Pinkston High School. Let’s have a terrific year.

Best regards,

Marlon Brooks
