Bus Duty Assignments This Week
TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE POLICY REGARDING LOADING AND UNLOADING OUR STUDENTS FROM THE BUSES, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ONE PERSON IS IN EACH OF THE FOLLOWING ZONES DURING YOUR BUS DUTY.
Morning (8:15 am - 8:35 am) - Cafeteria, Commons Area, and Outside.
Afternoon (Please come outside as soon as the bell rings.) - South end of the building, Right out front where you can see toward the south end and north end of the building, and in front of the pavilion near the bus loading. This allows all assigned for bus duty to see all of the major areas where students congregate to wait. The essential area to be monitored is the south end (side) of the building. The first few minutes are critical as far as the need for supervision. If there are four people assigned, the fourth person can help where needed.
- Patti Horman (by the buses on the south end of the building)
- Leslie Egbert (by the buses near the pavilion)
- Desiree Jessen (by the buses in the center near the main entrance)
The Following Week's Bus Duty Assignment:
- Al Jones (by the buses on the south end of the building)
- Michelle Pedersen-Murri (by the buses in the center near the main entrance)
- Brad Hansen (by the buses near the pavilion)

New Items to Be Aware of:
- For this week's faculty meeting, make sure to recognize your colleagues for the amazing things they are doing every day! Click here to share what you have seen.
- Please make sure that your IPLPs are complete and your SLO information is recorded for first and second trimesters. Thomas, Justin, and Scott will be meeting with each teacher individually to go over goals and SLOs as a part of the annual evaluation process beginning May 1st. The administrator that completed your JPAS will be scheduling that with you.
- As noted above in the schedule, please make sure all assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects are completed and input by Friday, May 25. This will allow students to know what they need to target and work on the last week of school and during the extended FLEX time on Wednesday, May 30. No other work should be assigned that last week outside of students making up or redoing assignments and tests.
- ISATs are well underway. Language Arts will be finishing up testing this week. STAR testing will be starting as well soon, along with any ISAT make-ups starting May 14.
The State Department of Education and the Boise State University Writing Project are offering workshops in June on the state’s new science standards and identifying connections with the literacy standards. The workshops will be led by elementary, middle and high school science teachers from Idaho. Workshops dates, locations and links to register are:
· REGION III (Boise) - June 5-8, Hilton Garden Inn Spectrum, Boise
· REGION IV - June 5-8, Canyon Crest Event Center, Twin Falls
· REGION III (Nampa) - June 12-15, Nampa Civic Center
· REGIONS V and VI - June 12-15, Clarion Inn, Pocatello
· REGIONS I and II - June 19-22, University of Idaho, Moscow
- Applications for the 2019 Idaho Teacher of the Year are due by May 25. The application and more information about how to nominate a teacher for this honor are posted online here.
Old Items to Be Aware of:
- Just for your information, Idaho's new accountability system includes a student engagement survey. Schools will need to administer this survey to students in grades 3-8 this school year. The survey questions for middle school students can be found here. We are still working on how we want to implement this survey, but it has been suggested that in middle school students complete it in their Language classes. The survey window will be open from April 2nd to May 31st. We are planning on waiting until ISATs are finished in May before beginning this.
- You all should have received a training module of sexual misconduct for staff to student. Please complete this as soon as you can.
- Here is the link to the fire drill procedural map and the evacuation procedural map. Here is also an updated roster for who is in which zones as well.
- With many transitions happening this year and in coming years, the district would like all teachers to know that they can view all available job openings at www.d93jobs.com. Also for your information, they are updating the district hiring procedures so that jobs will only be posted for 7 calendar days.
- Click here for information about the Idaho Master Teacher Premium if you are interested in working toward that. Since our district will be following the state model, nothing is actually done through the school or district.
- Please use the following links to assist in any preparation you may need for JPAS: JPAS Annual Orientation, Color Coded Domains IV and V, Professional Development Materials by Indicator (JPAS). In addition, anyone who appears on this spreadsheet must complete Domains IV and V (the portfolio/interview portion).
