The Place of Forsyth County

Over the past two weeks, The Place of Forsyth has been working to support families during this difficult time in our community. This includes helping to distribute more than 1000 bags of food so that our kids and families have the essential items that they need. The Place continues to receive first time requests for assistance from families, including several who are in need of support due to the financial impact they are facing because of COVID-19. We expect the number of families in need of assistance to rise over the next couple of weeks. In order to support these families, The Place is working to distribute more food for families in the coming weeks, as well as creating meal kits that can be distributed biweekly.

Creating meal kits for families and giving financial assistance requires additional resources. We are confident this community will help us meet the needs of the most vulnerable during this time.

Eighth Grade Six Flags Trip

At this time, we are not sure if we will be able to take our 8th Graders to Six Flags as planned. The link to register for the trip through Mypaymentsplus is currently closed and will stay closed until we make a final decision about the trip. If we are able to visit Six Flags as planned, we will extend the registration deadline. If the trip is cancelled, we will refund any payments previously made. Thank you for your patience during this time.
