Principal's Corner
Happy New Year and welcome back to RHLS. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and New Year break with family and friends. Thank you to everyone for their cards, gifts, and festive Christmas and New Year greetings!
This New Year brings many exciting events and activities that are discussed in this month’s newsletter, please take some time to read this January issue to make sure you are up to speed on all the upcoming plans.
During this month of January, we are looking forward to hosting the His Little Feet International Children’s Choir again. We need home stays for members of the group; this is a great opportunity (one that you won’t soon forget) for you and your family to get to know these amazing young girls and boys. More information is provided in this newsletter about the upcoming concerts and how you can participate.
Also, you will notice several new student faces with us for the next several weeks. A small select group of International students will be learning in classes (2nd – 8th grades) alongside RHLS students. Several of these students are returning to RHLS from past years’ experience and will be familiar faces to their RHLS classmates. Ask your child about the short-term international students that are in their classes, and encourage them to learn more about these new students, and help make them feel welcome.
Thanks for your continued prayerful support and partnership in the eternally important process of Christian Education as we enter a new calendar year together in His grace and love.
Blessings,
Dr. Paul Marquardt, Principal

December Philanthropy- Hope4Kids
Below are three photos that show the notes and gift bags provided to each of the five foster families that were supported by our efforts via Hope4Kids during December. Here is a quote from the Hope4Kids representative who picked up and delivered the notes and gift bags to the foster families.
“Hope4Kids is astounded by the generosity of RHLS! What a beautiful and giving family. There is a large collected of gift cards for each family and some nice gifts as well. The student cards are so sweet and intentional, as they contain prayers, encouragement, and love. What a beautiful way to shine Jesus this Christmas!”
December chapel offerings of $453.15 were also directly donated to Hope4Kids.
In addition, thank you for the generous support for our RHLS family in need, and the donations provided for the RHLS Christmas Family Surprise for this family. I wanted to share the following quote from the family: "These gifts and outpouring of love and support means more than you will ever know for our family. God's grace and love is never ending. Thank you all so much!" Please continue to include in your prayers a request for God's healing to shrink the cancerous growth that has been evading treatment for the mother of this family.

Children's Ministry
Red Hill Lutheran Church offers a weekly Children’s Ministry Program for all children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Using a combination of large group and small group activities, we intentionally strive to create an environment where children come to Know Jesus, Impact the world around them, become Disciples of Jesus and Serve others – K.I.D.S.!
If you do not already have a church home, we invite you to join us. Family Worship is on the first Sunday of the month, at which time whole families are invited to worship together during our 10:00 am Contemporary Worship Service in the Sanctuary.

Red Hill's Congregational Care Team
Red Hill’s Congregational Care Team Members and prayer warriors provide a “God with us” personal connection including compassion and empathy that can help deepen and strengthen our hold on the promises of God when life causes us to waiver and wonder. Heaven is nearer when two souls lift praise and thanksgiving to Jesus in prayer.
Beginning January 8th, congregational care is offered on Wednesdays, 8:00am – 10:00am and on Sundays, 9:30am – 11:30am in the Prayer Chapel, located to the right of the Sanctuary entrance.
Or you may contact Angela Calderon at acalderon@redhillchurch.org to schedule a preferred time with one of our team members.

PHASE BOOK RESOURCES!
Many families are checking out books from our Family Resource Cart. THIS IS SO FANTASTIC! We love getting these resources into your hands! Our Phase Books are of particular interest to many families. Because of this high demand, we have purchased additional copies of each Phase Book, covering every phase from Newborn Baby to 12th Grade.
Stop by our Family Resource Cart and see what the Phase Books have to say about the phase your child is currently in.
Once you have found the book you are interested in, simply fill out the card located inside the front cover and drop it in the wood box on the Family Resource Cart. When you are finished, bring the book back & put the card back inside the front cover!
Can't find the information you are looking for? Let us know.
We will see if we can help find that resource for you.
Our Family Resource Cart can be found on the courtyard patio on Wednesday and Sunday mornings and in the Narthex (lobby) of the Church on all other days.
