ATTENDANCE & DRESS CODE ENFORCEMENT

Beginning Monday, August 15, 2022, scholars will be marked tardy if not in class before the bell rings. If scholars arrive after 7:45 A.M. for PYP or 8:45 A.M. for MYP, parents will need to park and walk the scholar into the school to be signed in at the front desk.

The dress code will also be enforced starting Monday, August 15, 2022. If uniforms are on back-order, please send a copy of the receipt to the homeroom/advisory teacher.

Please remember to have Dash Pass open on your phone when you arrive on campus. If you have not done so already, please download Dash Pass and set it up, as this allows for a smooth and timely dismissal of your scholar.

REMINDER FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE

Big picture

Please bring in any and all medications necessary for your scholar(s) this coming week, including emergency epi-pens.

In addition, proper physician authorization forms are also required.

HEADPHONES

ALL scholars (K-8) need to have a pair of wired/plug-in headphones at school daily, as headphones will be used throughout the school year for computer work and for testing.

BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED.

The PTO will be working with teachers to finalize PYP room parents early next week.

The PTO is currently recruiting volunteers to become room parents for PYP classrooms. If you have free time, want to help teachers fulfill visions and classroom needs, and enjoy communicating with other families, this is the job for you!

Please note: If you are selected to be a room parent, the PTO will contact you to let you know.

The PTO encourages families to join the Parent Teacher Organization.

The PTO supports the school in several ways. Four PTO meetings are scheduled for the year; however, attendance is not required. PTO members get to choose PTO event volunteer opportunities first. Joining the PTO does not require a commitment to partici[pate in meetings or events, as some families are actively involved, while other families support the PTO and school with just the $15 annual membership fee.
