The Baldosaro Comfort Closet Remains Open!
The Comfort Closet is full with generous donations from Gateway families. The Closet is stocked with clothes, toiletries, coats, shoes, school supplies and many other items to be given at NO CHARGE. It is the goal of the Closet to lessen worries for our Gateway students about daily needs so that they can focus on learning. The Closet is easy to access, before and after school, by appointment or items can be delivered to your home. For an appointment or to arrange delivery contact (cnorton@gatewayhs.com).
Seniors Helping Seniors
For example, Mr. and Mrs. Smith from Woodbury Heights need their patio furniture moved into their garage for the winter. They can call or email the school and the coordinator will return their call and make arrangements. The coordinator will assemble a group of students and make arrangements for transportation to the Smiths' home and accompany the seniors.
This program is designed for the students to give back to the community and the senior citizens to get help with projects that may be difficult for them to handle without assistance. Everything will be done with consideration to COVID-19 protocols. Please feel free to share information about the Seniors Helping Seniors initiative with those in the community that benefit from the program.
To participate or with any questions or comments please reach out to Cindy Norton at Gateway (cnorton@gatewayhs.com).
