Greetings!
Mrs. Jennifer L. Battista, Vice Principal
"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do..."-Steve Jobs
I wanted to take a few moments to say hello and to let all of you know how excited I am to be the newest member of the Auten Road family! Though I'm sure it feels like it's going too quickly, I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer with time spent relaxing, rejuvenating, and catching up with family and friends.
As Chris mentioned in his email informing the ARIS staff of my appointment, I have been in the Hillsborough district for nearly 12 years, so I consider myself very lucky to be able to continue this journey in Hillsborough with a new "family" of staff members, parents, and students. Because the building itself and a large number of staff will be new to me, I will be looking to all of you to help me acclimate in all areas. Conversely, I am here to help you in any way from supporting you with parents and students to truly being an instructional leader for you.
During the first few weeks of school, you will probably see me coming around to spend 5-10 minutes in your room with you and your students. Please don't feel apprehensive or alarmed. :) The purpose of my visits will be to help me get to know your names and faces, and, of course, to begin seeing all of the wonderful things that you do with the students of ARIS each day. To that point, I will be in my office and around ARIS every day during the last 2 weeks in August, so please feel free to pop in during that time or when school starts to introduce yourself. I would really love that!
Enjoy the rest of your summer, try not to have too many of those "back-to-school" nightmares (LOL!), and I look forward to meeting/seeing all of you in late August or when school resumes in September.
Warm regards,
Jen Battista
