Principal's Message
We are entering a very busy time over the next few weeks, culminating with Halloween!
- Please be sure to look information below on Be A Friend, Not A Bully. Each day that week students will be invited to dress in a fun way. In addition, we will be celebrating Mix It Up Day. This gives students an opportunity to eat lunch with students they do not typically eat with. Activities will be provided for students to get to know each other better.
- On Monday, the sixth grade will receive a presentation from the Wish Them Well organization to help them launch their charity fund raiser. They are hoping to raise $1500 to build a well in Togo, Africa and to be able to provide school supplies. Your support will be greatly appreciated. Any student who makes a monetary donation will fill out a paper "water drop" to be added to our bulletin board.
Warm regards,
Rebecca Grimm, Principal

CONGRATULATIONS!
The Principal 200 Club
Each student who receives a small Kit Kat card receives a paw print with a number which corresponds to a number on the Principal's 200 Club bulletin board. Once there are ten paw prints in a row, those ten students will earn a Mystery motivator. This motivator may be different each time.
In addition to receiving their name on the board, a certificate is emailed home to the receiving students' parents.
We are very proud of our students and are happy to share the good news with parents!
Halloween Parade and Parties
Halloween Happenings:
Our annual Halloween parade will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 31st beginning at 2:30 pm. All visitors are invited to view the parade outside along the route which extends out the doors on the playground, past the bus circle, around to the front of the school, re-entering at the office.
** For safety and security reasons, only homeroom parents will be permitted in the classrooms. Normal sign-in procedures in the front office will be followed for homeroom parents. All PM party homeroom parents will be admitted at 2:15 pm. No other visitors will be admitted into the building.
** Your assistance is needed, ensuring that costumes worn in school do not include fake weapons or other potentially dangerous objects. Costumes should not have blood, guts, or fake body parts displayed. This would be inappropriate for school, and such costumes will not be permitted. We are strongly discouraging scary, creepy, clown costumes. Our school strives for a climate of non-violence, and Halloween is no exception.
Face paint is permitted, as long as it does not look like blood, scars, wounds, etc.Your support is greatly appreciated!
** The AM kindergarten parade will begin at approximately 11:00 am. The children will parade around the kindergarten playground. Only the homeroom parents will be permitted in the building.
RAIN PARADE FORMAT:
In case of inclement weather, the children will parade through the gym and the cafeteria. Parents will need to stand along the perimeter of the room so that everyone can see. Thanks for your cooperation.
** Parking will be available in our parking lot, but parking is prohibited in the fire lane. (Lane closest to the building)! Kindergarten will lead the parade; followed by first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade classes.
** Food: Party food is limited to pretzels and water, no other treats are to be provided or distributed.
Wish Them Well Week
So they have partnered with a non-profit organization in Togo, a country in West Africa with a program titled, Wish Them Well, This organization builds and repairs fresh water drinking wells in small villages in Togo. Our 6th graders have set a goal to raise $1500.00, which is enough money to build a brand new well, providing water for up to 1,000 people.
In addition, the students have decided to partner with a small school of orphans in Kante, Togo. This school is in dire need of school materials. We can help by donating new and gently school supplies including books, puzzles, coloring/activity books, markers, white boards, colored pencils, crayons, markers etc. They need EVERYTHING!
