Parent Voice Survey
Omaha Public Schools and Buffett Magnet Middle School would like to hear from you! You should have received an email regarding a Parent Voice survey on Monday, February 3.
This feedback survey is available all school year. You can visit the link throughout the school year whenever you have an experience at the school that is measured by the survey. This allows you to continuously provide formative information about Buffett that can help the school know what’s going well and where we have some opportunities for improvement.
There are six sections of the survey. It is not necessary to complete all sections at once.
All responses collected with this survey are anonymous and no identifying information is stored with responses.
STEAM Club Updates
We've had an exciting couple of months in STEAM Club.
In January, the Henry Doorly Zoo brought the zoo to us! Students learned about different habitats and got to meet some small animals. Another activity that took place in January was Driving the 4Cs with Spheros. Spheros are small, round robots that students worked with to move through different obstacles. A second session of this activity was created due to high interest and is currently taking place through February.
NEW STEAM Club activities will be starting after Spring Break. Be on the lookout for sign-ups later in February. For a sneak peak of one of the activities, check out the video below for an example of Rube Goldberg machines. Creating Rube Goldberg machines will be an activity we start in March.

Buffett teachers and students are tackling essential assessment vocabulary in an effort to increase knowledge of words students encounter on standardized tests.
