College Admissions 101 Webinar

This one-hour presentation is intended to outline the process, terminology, and timelines associated with the college admissions process. Topics covered will include:
- Roles of the Student Applicant and West High in the application process
- Application and Decision Types
- Requesting Supporting Documentation from West High
- Letters of Recommendation and Essay Requirements
- Standardized Testing
- College and WHS Deadlines
- NCAA Eligibility
- Financial Aid: FAFSA, CSS Profile, and Scholarships
- A+ Program
Although this webinar will be most relevant for current junior students who are preparing for the college application window opening in August of their senior year, all levels of students and parents are welcome to attend.

ACT PREP
FREE ACT Test Prep Materials in Counseling!
The Counseling Department has a variety of test prep materials including workbooks and sample tests. Any student who would like to take advantage of this, please come to Counseling. This will be on a first come, first serve basis.
SUMMER EMT ACADEMY
Begins June 27th, 2022 (orientation June 20th)
The application for the summer EMT Academy is now open. Classes are Monday-Friday for eight weeks, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Students will earn $11.15/hour while attending class, as well as 401k and vacation time. After the National Registry examination and acquiring their state licensure, they will earn the EMT starting rate of $18.00 per hour and health benefits. Candidates must be 18 years of age. Candidates must have a GED or High School Diploma.
