Peace on Earth

This year has been filled with changes for our family.

Kate changed jobs again, and she's now a technology specialist for the Portage School District. This job is supporting technology at the five elementary schools, and she loves the challenge and all the wonderful people she gets to work with. She can honestly say that she loves going to work every day.

Alex started his first year at Bartels Middle School and Mackenzie started her first year at the High School. Along with Kate's new hours, the new schedule took some getting used to, but we're finally adjusting to our new routine.

Kenzie is very active in many clubs at the High School. She is in too many clubs to name, and is constantly busy with after school activities (and homework). On Thursday nights, she also comes and plays with Kate in the Dual County Community Band.

Alex is very active in sports, but finds lots of time for reading, video games, and music. He loves being in band and choir. He's also joined FFA, FBLA and Art Club this year. He stays busy, so he has very little time to get into trouble.

Trips 2014

Arizona- March 2014

Smokey Mountains- May 2014

Disney- July 2014

Our annual trip to Disney was so much fun this year. We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge- Kidani Village this year and had so much fun at the parks. This year, we attended a Lion King themed night at the Animal Kingdom after the park had closed. It was called Harambi Nights, and featured a live reading of the Lion King and an orchestra and choir providing the music. Afterwards, the streets were open with a huge food buffet and dancing. It was very fun (and fancy) and the night was a blast.

Disney- October 2014

One trip to Disney a year is not enough. Or, at least that's what Kate decided. Kate, Lindsey (Kate's cousin), and Ahnie (Kate's sister) all decided that it would be a lot of fun to go to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival for their birthdays. Then, they discovered that Kate was serious about going. Pretty soon, plane tickets were booked and tickets for Mickey's Not-so-scary Halloween Party were purchased. It was a wonderful weekend filled with food, laughter, and a wonderful time.
