A Message From Our Principal
Greetings:
Spring is upon us! It has been wonderful to see the outdoor athletic teams practicing and preparing to compete. Missing last year was hard for them so hopefully this season they can enjoy playing and winning for EHTHS.
As for academics, Monday April 19th will be the last full virtual day for all students as they know it., On Monday April 26th we will begin to have five day in person learning for all the students who have chosen to be in person. At this time there will be no other transition to in person learning. Any student who is all virtual will remain that way for the remainder of the 2021 school year.
National Honor Society inductions will take place on April 22nd, 2021. The ceremony will take place in the early afternoon. Unfortunately, due to the number of students involved, we are close to indoor capacity. Parents and guardians will not be able to attend, however, the ceremony will be live streamed for your viewing pleasure.
Our English Language Learners will be taking the mandated ACCESS test in the next two weeks. All the ELL virtual students will have to come to school to take their test. Teachers will inform and guide them on what to do and the expectations. Good luck to all of these students!
Many of our AP courses are starting to administer practice tests to prepare for the Advanced Placement tests.
During our spring break we continued to have great things happening at EHTHS, mainly our theatre production of “Les Miserables.” The play was incredible and if you missed it you will be able to see the video of it once it is edited and ready. Keep checking the web page for the video production and enjoy it. The cast and crew were wonderful! Kudos to Mr. Kristeller and his team for helping to support the cast and crew!
EHT Idol continues each week. Don’t forget to vote!!! Go to the HS web page each week you will see two students, listen to their take and vote for one! It’s that simple! The final four are scheduled the week of May 10th. Rock the house everyone!!!
Our indoor percussion team came in first place in their virtual competition on April 1st. They were fabulous! Also coming up, the drumline and colorguard will host a competition coming up on April 27th. With limited in person guests permitted, it will be live streamed so continue to check the web page for the link.
As you know we will be having a prom. The information unfortunately is a little behind due to some necessary changes. I spoke with members of the senior class on Thursday to share the progress and they had some great ideas. At this time, Harrah's is not able to accommodate us the way we would like and therefore have released us from our contract. I am now making some final decisions and will get the information and prom packets out early next week. Due to the changes the packets need updating. Don’t panic anyone, we got this. It is going to happen!
Until next week, stay safe, be well, continue to dream of the possibilities ahead of us, be happy and smile at someone!
Ms.Connor
Congratulations Mr. House on Winning Atlantic County Teacher of the Year!

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Students of the Week
Student: Ronald Harley
Nominated By: Ms. Miro
Everyday when Ronald comes to class he greets me and the other students with a "Bonjour" and a smile. He always initiates small talk in French with me before class starts and he stays shortly after the bell to help clean desks, chairs, and Chromebooks. He's even offered on more than one occasion to help a lost Freshman in the hallways.
Student: Jenny Bautista
Nominated By: Mrs. Jerome
Jenny is a very active participant in class. We can always count on her to move our class discussions forward. She is quite positive and insightful.ACCESS Testing
