What does PTA do? THIS is what we have/will do in 2015/16!
Liberty PTA Provides Educational Enrichment for our Students!
- PTA funds Book Flix for grades Kindergarten through 3rd
- PTA funds Scholastic News for grades Kindergarten through 5th
- PTA celebrates Arts in Education & hosts the annual Reflections contest. This year we had 15 entries school wide. Three entries went to Broken Arrow PTA Council.
Liberty Elementary PTA Supports our School!
- PTA funded a Target Back to School shopping event for teachers. Certified teachers were given a minimum of $30 to spend on classroom supplies.
- PTA gives our teachers grants to purchase classroom resources. The following grants have been approved this year.
- 1st Grade literacy grant
- Music Department grant for building supplies for musical
- Media Center grant
- Art Department supply grant
- 3rd Grade Factivation grant
- PTA provides Field Trips for all grades
- PTA plans and funds 5th grade day, collects $ and orders 5th grade tees
- PTA plans and funds Super Kids Day
- PTA provides Volunteer Support, Room Parents, and staffing of the media center during Book Fairs
- PTA hosts Staff Appreciation events throughout the year, including National Teacher Appreciation Week
- PTA collects your Box Tops for Education. We count, sort, and mail. To date we have received a check from Box Tops for $584.20. Our next check is due in April.
- PTA is participating in the pre-ordered school supply program this year for the 2016-17 school year. Watch your student's folder for more information in April.
- PTA provides Movie Licensing USA- a public performance site license for movies. This allows Liberty to show movies legally for non-teaching activities such as Family Movie Nights, Before and After School Programs, Student Rewards, Holiday Events and more.

- PTA hosts an annual PTA membership contest that rewards classrooms with the most memberships a party

PTA membership dues are $8.00, being a member does NOT obligate you to anything, however we are currently in search of a few good members who can fill officer, chair and coordinator positions for the 2016-17 school year. We offered $25 for a PTA membership, tshirt and 12 Freckles Frozen Custards.
Yearbook Club
The Liberty Yearbook is put together by the 5th Grade Yearbook Club and its 5th Grade Teacher Sponsors. The Yearbook Chairperson coordinates with the Yearbook company and collects orders for the yearbooks from Liberty families.
Food Trucks on Family Nights
Our Family Involvement Chairperson coordinates our family nights.
Fall Family Fun Night Fun
Student Volunteers from various high school organizations volunteer for service hours at our Family Events. This allows parents to be involved with their children during these events. This year several Home Room Parents volunteered to put games together for our first ever carnival.
Basket Raffle
Basket items are donated by our classroom parents. The Home Room Parents choose the themes, collect and organize the items. We LOVE our Home Room Parents.
WatchDOGS
Dads of Great Students. Are you dad, grandfather, or uncle of a great student? We want YOU!
Party Time!
Winter and Valentine Parties are coordinated by our Home Room Parents. Class parent volunteers donate items such as juice and snacks for these parties.
Freckles
Our Freckles Chairperson plans, organizes and gets volunteers for the 12 Freckles Fridays. Our students love their Freckles!!
Spiritwear
Liberty students love their Spiritwear. The Chairperson for Spiritwear helps design, collects orders, orders, and delivers the tees.
Got BoxTops?
Send them in. Don't waste those dimes. Our Box Top Coordinator counts, sorts and mails all of those Box Tops off 2x per school year.
Fundraising
Your Liberty PTA can do up to 3 fundraisers per year. Our biggest in year's past have been cookie dough and catalog sales. Got a great fundraising idea?
Hospitality
Our Hospitality Coordinator plans staff dinners for teacher conferences, plans meals, activities for teacher appreciation week and organizes coffee/doughnuts for the Veterans Assembly.
Super Kids and 5th Grade Days
Each year the coordinator for Super Kids Day and 5th Grade Day coordinates with the school these events. The PTA provides the inflatables/popsicles for Super Kids Day and again this year will pay for their admission for an off campus trip.
Food for Kids Program
Parent volunteers pick up backpacks each Friday and return them to Liberty.
Advocate
Every child. One Voice. Learn more at the Parent Chat on March 24th. Liberty Media Center.
Reflections
National PTA Reflections welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
