Google Forms is a great way to collect information and build classroom activities. You can use a Google Form to collect parent contact information at Open House and a few days later collect student information that will help you get to know your class. Features within Google Forms will also allow you to deliver assessments. This is a powerful tool that you can use a number of ways in the classroom.
Impossible to Fail Quiz
You can set up a Google Form to be an impossible-to-fail quiz. The concept behind this type of activity is that students are not able to move on to the next question until they have answered the current question correctly. If they get the answer wrong, students are directed to a page with a video they can watch to review the content before they attempt to answer the question a second (or third, or fourth) time. This activity is not meant to act as an assessment, but as a review activity to help students master the content you are covering in class. It does involve some work on the teacher end to set up, but it is worth it once your students start to use it. If you are interested in using this type of activity in your classroom, I'd love to help you organize it and get it ready for students. Email me and we will set up a time to collaborate.
