Starcast Submission Request
CLUB REQUEST
Thank you for all of the club leaders who has submitted your dates! As you can see from the dates listed above, we have lots of student proposed/ student led clubs starting up! This is so exciting. Thank all of you who supported this effort and helping students to have a stronger voice and personal connections to WHS!
Tweet of the week:
One School, One Family, Connected for Success
Proud Principal Moment:
Many of you know that we welcomed a few new family members to our WHS community this past week. We have two different families who relocated from Texas. One of our students had reported being bullied in her old school. As she was sharing this with one of our students (Grade 4), the student said something to the effect of:
"Oh no, that won't happen here... we have a policy about that... "One School, One Family!"
I am not gonna lie, this left me a little speechless and very, very proud!
Coming Soon- Random Act of Kindness Week!
Dear WHS Staff,
National Random Acts of Kindness Week is February 16th-23rd. As a way to encourage kindness at WHS, the Student, Staff, and Parent Engagement Committee has organized a RAK movement at school for the month of February. Here is the plan:
Starting the week of February 3rd, Mr. Danielski will come to your class to read the book, A Little Spot of Kindness. He will also give your class a poster of a jar and sticker dots. Please sign up for a day and time using the google doc by CLICKING HERE
Next, encourage your students to be kind to others. For every act of kindness, give the student a sticker dot to put on the jar poster. The idea is that your class fills their jar with sticker dots during the month of February.
The committee will provide your class with RAK Bingo sheets for home and for school. These are optional, but include some great ideas for RAK.
Support RAK week with read alouds, videos, activities, team building, etc. in your classroom.
If you have any questions, please contact Kristin Paasch.
Thank you for your help and cooperation!
Data Day Preparation Request
While we will have AIMSweb data prepared and ready to share, winter data day is largely driven by the information you provide on your grade level's template. Essentially I am asking you to reflect on the following three questions:
- What students NEED an intervention (who are currently not getting one)?
- What students may be ready to EXIT an intervention they are currently in?
- What students may require a change of intervention (students who are in one, but may need something more or different)?
Please complete this template as a grade level no later than Friday, January 24th.
*** Please note, each grade level has their own tab at the bottom of the page
*** Everyone has editing rights, so interventionists may also add relevant notes to the template.

Form 5 / Mid-Year Evaluations
If you have already submitted your Form 5 and have a meeting scheduled, thank you!
If you haven't yet submitted your Form 5 (documenting Domains 1 & 4), keep reading.
Please take some time in the near future to complete form 5, submit it to me through Evaluwise, and send me a calendar invite. I would like to have all Form 5's submitted and have mid-year meetings completed by the end of January if possible.
****Please remember, Form 5 can be found under your INFORMAL observation in Evaluwise. Please do not hesitate to see me with any questions!
